Hi my name is Leila, by day I’m a Melbourne tram driver, cruising the city, gonging the bells, and getting people where they need to be. By passion, I’m a woman business owner with a lifelong background in hospitality and customer service. I genuinely love people, I love making them happy, and I love dancing and a good party.

I’m into sports, cricket especially, ice skating and anything that brings good energy together. I hate coffee, yes really, but I’ll happily stay up all night making sure everyone else is having the time of their lives.

I’ve been a celebrant for five years now, and there is nothing better than watching that big tough partner walking down the aisle, see their person, and completely fall apart with happy tears. That moment gets me every time. Standing there, feeling the love, then announcing a couple as married, absolute magic.

Over the years, my couples kept asking me, “are you coming to the reception”, and honestly, I wanted to, because I’d grown so fond of them, I wanted to see the laughs, the speeches, the dancing, and the celebration. But as a celebrant, it didn’t always feel appropriate.

So I built something better.
